Around 2 to 2.5 hours on a clear day. Don Mueang is on the north side of Bangkok, which adds more city driving compared to Suvarnabhumi. During rush hour (7–9am or 4–7pm on weekdays) allow 2.5 to 3 hours. We always plan your pickup based on your actual flight time.
Yes. Don Mueang is roughly 200 km from Pattaya compared to about 147 km for Suvarnabhumi. It's also further into Bangkok, which means more time in city traffic. That's the honest reason fares to DMK start ฿400 higher. If you have a choice, Suvarnabhumi routes start from ฿1,000.
Don Mueang is the home of budget and low-cost carriers in Thailand: AirAsia, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, Thai VietJet, and some domestic Thai Airways routes. If your ticket says "DMK" or "Don Mueang" you're in the right place. Double-check before booking — some routes use Suvarnabhumi (BKK).
